Services

Three service lines. Each can stand alone.

Most clients start with IT Transformation, move to a Fractional CTO retainer, and add Technology Advisory once there is a board or governance structure to serve.

Service 01 Fractional CTO Retained · Agreed frequency · Ongoing

Your technology leader, without the full-time salary. As your Fractional CTO, I am embedded in your executive team — attending leadership meetings, owning the technology roadmap, governing vendors and partners, and providing board-level technology reporting. The work is strategic and ongoing, not project-based.

What this includes:

  • Technology strategy — roadmap ownership, alignment to business plan, annual review
  • Executive presence — attendance at leadership and board meetings as the technology voice
  • Vendor and partner governance — contract oversight, performance management, renewal negotiation
  • Cybersecurity oversight — ongoing risk posture, incident response governance, policy maintenance
  • IT team leadership — coaching, performance direction, hiring input
  • Digital transformation — identifying, scoping, and governing technology investment decisions
  • Board reporting — technology risk, investment performance, and strategic progress

This service works best when: your IT environment is fundamentally stable but strategic technology decisions are being made without senior leadership input; or following an IT Transformation engagement, to maintain the strategic layer.

Service 03 Technology Advisory Retainer · Monthly or quarterly

An independent technology voice at board, committee, or governance level. This is not an operational role — it is strategic counsel for organisations that make significant technology investments, carry technology risk, or need a credentialed independent view on digital decisions.

What this includes:

  • Board and committee attendance — as a non-executive director or advisory board member
  • Technology risk oversight — independent review of IT risk posture and management response
  • Digital investment review — challenge and counsel on major technology investment decisions
  • Strategy review — annual technology strategy assessment against the business plan
  • Incident governance — independent oversight during significant technology incidents
  • AI governance — policy framework, risk assessment, and adoption oversight

Suited to: boards of mid-market companies, NFPs, member-based organisations, family-owned businesses, and governance committees seeking independent technology directors.
